This series traces the quiet evidence of labor, transformation, and time found on the surface of the city. Interspersed among the still photographs of walls, cables and buildings I include quiet and descriptive portraits of urbanites, ever present dwellers of the same surface and participants in its continuous change. Made with large format film cameras, the photographs invite sustained looking, revealing a world that resists easy notice.
